A Sunday Mercury reporter visited Kitson at his practice in Lodge Road posing as a patient.
He found Kitson treating patients and had people waiting to see him when he arrived.
The shamed businessman offered to treat our reporter and give him a full consultation as he sat in his clinic.
But when he declined and instead asked him about his past he refused to comment and said that he was now practising as an osteomyologist.
Kitson – whose full name is Frederick Paul Kitson – set up his practice earlier this year.
He also claims to be qualified, insured and registered – but it is not clear with whom.
Last night a spokeswoman for the GOsC said it was aware of Kitson, but revealed that he was practising within the law by describing himself as an osteomyologist.
“People are free to call themselves osteomyologists and it is unregulated,” she explained.
“If people were going to seek healthcare we would advise them that whoever they are going to was properly trained and regulated.”
She added: “If you are seeking care then you should go through someone regulated by a statutory body.”
