Moazzam Begg

A MIDLAND man detained as a terror suspect at Guantanamo Bay is cashing in with a computer game based on the infamous prison camp.

Moazzam Begg, 41, from Sparkhill, Birmingham, who was captured by the CIA and thrown in jail at Guantanamo Bay in 2003, will appear as himself in a new Xbox 360 game which he has taken a financial stake in.

He was released from the US military jail without charge in 2005, and claims to have suffered torture during his captivity.

Rendition: Guantanamo is due to hit the shelves in October, and allows players to control an inmate fighting his way free from the notorious detention centre. Its makers say they hope to make up to £3 million from the game.

Human rights activist Mr Begg plays the head of an organisation which helps the terror suspect to escape from Guantanamo in a desperate bid for freedom to find his son.
