Birmingham double murder update: Arrested man released on bail
A MAN arrested in connection with the murder of a Birmingham couple has been bailed by police.
Carole and Avtar Kolar were found dead at their house in Friary Road, Handsworth Wood.
Their detective son Jason, 37, discovered them on Wednesday morning.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said a 24-year-old man who was arrested at an address in Birmingham on Friday was released on bail on Sunday.
A second man, a 41-year-old from Birmingham, arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning remains in custody and is being questioned by detectives.
Forensic post mortem examinations showed that Avtar, aged 62, and Carole, aged 58, died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
Both had been struck a number of times.
