The Bachelor star Layla Manoocherhri reveals who could win her heart

SHE spent six years with a pop star and was wooed by rugby ace Gavin Henson – who dumped her on national TV.

Now Midland beauty Layla Manoochehri says she is fed up of celebrities and is looking for a down-to-earth Brummie brickie instead!

The blonde stunner was heartbroken when she split from long-term boyfriend Simon Webbe, from boy band Blue, amid fears he had cheated on her.

She tried to get over it by entering the Channel 5 reality show The Bachelor, in which 25 women competed for the heart of Charlotte Church’s ex, Gavin Henson.

Layla, 25, was an early favourite and enjoyed dates alone with the Welsh rugby star in romantic spots like St Tropez and Venice.

She reached the final showdown in St Lucia, before missing out to glamour model Carianne Barrow.

But now Layla, from Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire, says she is glad Gavin didn’t choose her – and accused Carianne of bitching about her.

“Gavin kept saying how important trust and honesty were to him,” said Layla. “But these are qualities Carianne doesn’t have.

“She told some outrageous lies about me. She told April she’d found notes I’d made, about conversation topics I could have with Gavin on dates. That’s so not true. My mum said ‘You’re not that clever!’.

“I got on with her on when we were filming, so I was surprised to watch the show and see how nasty she was about me behind my back.”

But Layla also feels a little sorry for Carianne, who will have seen Gavin and Layla kiss passionately in a hot tub on St Lucia just hours before he told Carianne: “It’s always been you, I love you.”
