Updated: 16.42pm: Four arrests in Birmingham on day of EDL and UAF protests

West Midlands Police have reported 4 arrests on an afternoon of protests from the UAF and EDL in Birmingham City Centre.

The four men arrested included 1 on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, 1 on warrant, 1 possession of cannabis.

Police have also reported that 8 youths were arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after. Enquiries continue but the events are thought to be unrelated to the protests.
