SHE’S the stunning would-be barrister who is a real-life legally blonde.
And law student Carly Davies, 19, will be getting into a very different kind of brief next spring.
The Bewdley law student has been chosen as Miss Worcestershire in a national beauty pageant.
“I’ve always loved watching TV programmes about beauty pageants,” says Carly, who is studying at the University of Birmingham.
“They always looked so glamorous, and I thought I’d love to take part.
“So I had some professional photos done, sent them off for the Miss Galaxy competition and carried on at university.
“When I was told I’d got through to the final, it was a bit of a shock!”
Miss Galaxy UK takes place in March 2012 in Lancashire and the winner will go to America to compete for the International title.
Carly says: “I know this may not be the first thing most people would imagine a law student to be doing. But my family is really supportive, although my university friends didn’t believe me when I first told them I was doing a beauty pageant!’’
And, just like Reese Witherspoon in the film Legally Blonde, Carly says she is determined to show she is more than just a pretty face.
