COPS were last night hunting a violent rapist who went on the run halfway through his trial.
Warwickshire Police issued an urgent appeal to the public for help in tracking down brutal sex offender Nathan Lucas from Nuneaton, who vanished while on bail this week.
The 24-year-old, who was found guilty in his absence of raping two teenage girls and attempting to rape a 26-year-old, tied up two of his victims, who he met through internet dating sites, before subjecting them to horrific sex attacks.
He attended the first part of the trial at Leamington Crown Court but fled halfway through.
Detective Superintendent Nav Malik, from Warwickshire Police, said: “We now need to urgently locate Nathan Alan Lucas so that he can be sentenced.
“We have released a photo in the hope that someone recognises him and can tell us where he is.
