ROCK superstar Slash is to play a homecoming gig in the Midlands this summer.
The former Guns N'Roses guitarist has booked a date in Stoke-on-Trent, the town where he was brought up.
It will be the first time that the 45 year-old rocker has played the city for many years.
Details of the venue are being kept secret until they are officially launched later this week.
It could be either be a low-key show at a small theatre or club, or a big gig at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium.
Slash's only other UK appearances will be at the High Voltage Festival in London and Scotland's T In The Park.
On his Facebook page, Slash told fans: "I'm definitely playing Stoke in July w/Myles & Co."
