Coventry pensioner is a hedgehog hero

MIDLAND pensioner Ann Armfield saved a tiny hedgehog from certain death twice in one day.

The Coventry 76-year-old brought the creature in after finding it in her garden as temperatures plummeted.

She left it under a radiator, but the hedgehog was suffocating after getting its head stuck in a bathroom shelf.

Firefighters were then called out to rescue the animal.
