A TEENAGER jailed for killing another youngster during a row over a Facebook message is appealing his sentence.
Ben Greenhouse, 17, was sentenced to four years for the manslaughter of Jordan Sergeant from Quinton, Birmingham.
The 18 year-old was punched during a row over a Facebook post he had made, but managed to struggle home and got into bed.
But the next day Jordan was rushed to hospital where he died from bleeding on the brain.
Greenhouse, who had a record of violent behaviour, was jailed in July at Birmingham Crown Court after admitting manslaughter.
Now as Jordan’s devastated family prepare for their first Christmas without him, the thug is trying to have his sentence reduced.
His victim’s family are still too traumatised to speak out, but a source said they had been rocked by the news.
“Losing a child is horrific for anyone, but now they have to deal with this,” they said.
“It is shocking that Greenhouse only received four years in the first place, as we believe he should have faced a murder trial. As far as the family is concerned the sentence was too lenient.
“He will probably be out when he is 19 – and can carry on his life again.
