Peter Andre: 80-year-old granny threw her knickers at me

POP singer Peter Andre last night revealed his biggest fan is a cheeky 80 year-old granny – who threw him her knickers while he was on stage.

The star told the Sunday Mercury of his shock at seeing the provocative pensioner’s saucy briefs flying through the air.

He said: “I was on stage and there was a pair of knickers thrown at me.

‘‘I looked and saw it was an 80 year-old woman who had thrown them. I couldn’t believe it.”

But the dad-of-two was warned not to reveal anymore details about the saucy incident by his manager Nicola Partridge – who is trying to promote his new perfume, Mysterious Girl.

Peter was launching the scent at Wolverhampton’s Mander Centre yesterday, amid tight security.

He also revealed he hopes his fragrance will appeal to a sophisticated audience and that he would love the likes of actress and model Elizabeth Hurley to buy it.

“I’ve mentioned her before, but that’s who I’d like to see wearing it,” he said. “I decided on a perfume because after a survey we found women were more in favour of me creating a fragrance for them, rather than an aftershave for men.”

More than 200 fans had gathered outside the shop to catch a glimpse of the reality TV star.
