Britain's Got Talent Wednesbury star Neil Fullard facing court date

Neil Fullard

BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Neil Fullard has landed himself in hot water – after cops found him with thousands of pounds of cash he could not account for.

The ‘singing doorman’ made the semi-finals of the last series of the talent show after wowing judges with his version of Frank Sinatra’s Come Fly With Me.

Now it has emerged that Mr Fullard, 43, is due to appear at a cash forfeiture hearing at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court in September.

Under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, police were given powers to seize money discovered on a person which was ‘reasonably suspected of being obtained by criminal means’.

No conviction is required for the forfeiture of the cash to be approved by the court, it us up to the defendant to prove where they got the money from.

The Sunday Mercury made repeated attempts to contact Mr Fullard, from Wednesbury, about the hearing but he was unavailable for comment.
