A SCHOOLBOY was being questioned by police last night on suspicion of murdering Birmingham student Yajay Sudra.

The 15-year-old was arrested in Sutton Coldfield following an emotional appeal to the public for help by the victim’s mother.

Talented guitarist Yajay, 21, had been walking to his home in Marsh Lane, Erdington, last Friday night when he was attacked.

His mum Varsha, 55, found her much-loved son after hearing his screams.

Paramedics called to the scene tried desperately to save Yajay but he died from a single stab wound to the heart.

His mum later appealed for help in catching his killer and revealed how he died in her arms.

She said: “I opened the door, he just lay in my arms. He couldn’t even say what happened to him. He said: ‘Mum, help me, Mum’ just once and that was it.

“Basically, he just came to say goodbye to me.”

Yajay’s cousin Hiten added: “We cannot take any of it in at the moment. There is just no reason for someone to do this. He was a caring and loving young man with his whole life ahead of him.”
