Family man dies after being stabbed on his own doorstep in Oldbury

A FAMILY man has died after being stabbed on his own doorstep in a horrifying attack.

The 57 year-old victim, who has not been named, was stabbed at least three times outside his house in Oldbury on Friday night.

It is believed the attack was not random but followed a row at a nearby pub earlier in the evening.

The man, who was pronounced dead in hospital, had been drinking that evening at The George pub in George Road.

Last night, neighbours of the victim in Marshall Road spoke about their shock at his brutal murder.

One woman, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, said: “It’s so scary. I’ve heard they stabbed him three times on his doorstep but nobody knows why it’s happened.
