Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor labelled a ‘‘nuisance neighbour’’

ASTON Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has been labelled a ‘‘nuisance neighbour’’ by locals in a swanky Midland suburb – because of his noisy sports cars.

The England striker, 23, has been accused of waking up the neighbourhood by revving engines outside his luxury property in leafy Streetly, West Midlands.

Gabby drives a luxury £180,000 white Lamborghini and has a host of other top of the range vehicles, including a 4x4 Mercedes with blacked out windows.

He lives in a small gated row of houses along with his brother and girlfriend, and is regularly visited by an entourage of close friends – sometimes late at night.

One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: “The majority of householders in the street are very angry about the way they all drive around.

“It’s Agbonlahor and his entourage, his mates and his brothers. You see him driving around in his Lamborghini.

“People just want a quiet life. This has always been a nice street and it’s being ruined.”

Now residents are said to be considering setting up a pressure group to get speed calming measures introduced in the area.

Another neighbour said: “A couple of people have stopped Gabby in the street and asked him to tone it down. He’s always very polite, but nothing has changed. This has been going on for months.

“The gate to the row of houses where he lives was taken off its hinges mysteriously one night, a couple of months ago. The homeowners there have all agreed to share the cost of a new one – but he won’t cough up.”

Another resident claimed they were sometimes woken up in the early hours by noise from high-powered cars owned by the Villa striker and his friends.

“You can hear Agbonlahor and his mates at all times of the night driving up and down the road in their noisy sports cars,” the neighbour said.

“There are people with young families living nearby and it could be very dangerous with kids on the street.
