A TERROR suspect hunted in Birmingham for allegedly helping plot the Mumbai massacre has been arrested.
Raheel Shaikh, 32, is said to have gone to ground in the Midlands after more than 170 people were slaughtered in the Indian city last November.
He was named on Interpol’s Most Wanted list after also being linked to an Indian train bombing in 2006 that killed 209 people.
Now it has emerged that Shaikh is being quizzed by Indian detectives after being captured in Delhi last month.
The Sunday Mercury broke the news that the manhunt for the terror suspect had moved to Birmingham in December.
Shaikh is understood to have flown back to India after sheltering in the second city’s vast Kashmiri community as the dust settled following the Mumbai attack.
