ANGRY constituents called for a Midland MP to be ousted over the expenses row during a street protest yesterday.
Julie Kirkbride, Conservative member for Bromsgrove, and husband Andrew MacKay previously came under fire for claiming second home allowances on two separate properties.
Mr MacKay, who represented Bracknell in Berkshire, later quit as policy adviser to David Cameron.
And yesterday he announced he would stand down at the next general election after discussing his position with Conservative leader David Cameron.
Last night Ms Kirkbride faced mounting pressure for her to resign too.
Distortion
It has been claimed that her brother Ian lived rent-free in her taxpayer-funded home.
She has dismissed the claims as a “total distortion”.
Yet Ms Kirkbride’s constituents are calling for her to resign.
Retired carer Elaine Darby, 65, joined the ‘Julie Must Go’ protest in Bromsgrove High Street and said: “I’m pretty angry about this.
“I believe the MPs have shown they’re out for themselves which is disgusting.”
