Family of murdered Birmingham nurse in justice plea

The family of a murder victim whose badly-burned body was found at her Birmingham home almost a year ago has urged the public to help detectives bring her killer to justice.

Relatives of Kuldeep Kaur Sidhu, a nursery nurse who lived in the Quinton area of the city, also revealed that she was in the early stages of pregnancy at the time of her death.

Addressing a press conference at West Midlands Police headquarters, Ms Sidhu's father, brother and sister all spoke of their pain at losing the happy-go-lucky and caring 25-year-old.

Her father, Desh Raj, 51, said: "It's been very, very hard - we keeping thinking about her every day, every minute.

"I don't know why anybody has done this thing to her - she was a loving girl, really kind and gentle. Since she passed away, the family has just gone down and down."
