Road-rage killer Tracie Andrews takes first step towards freedom

ROAD-rage killer Tracie Andrews is set to move to an open prison in her first step towards freedom.

Andrews, 40, was given a life sentence in 1997 for stabbing to death fiance Lee Harvey in a frenzied attack near their home in Alvechurch, Worcestershire.

But the evil killer has now won a parole hearing on June 10 which will rule on whether she can move to an open prison – which would allow her to be released in just two years.

Lee’s parents are sure to fight the move. Mum Maureen, 62 and from Birmingham, previously said: “The do-gooders say she’s been rehabilitated, but she’ll never change. She has a terrible temper and will kill again.

“Life should have meant life for her.

And Lee’s lorry driver father Ray, 63, added: “She lied to police and lied in court. She can’t tell the truth and lives in a fantasy.

“She should never be let out.”
