A MUM-of-three has gone to court to evict her daughter from their family home after claiming she was a victim of physical and verbal abuse.
Pensioner Elizabeth Crew took legal action to boot out eldest child Elaine, 43, and her grown-up kids Andrew and Rachel from the property in Quinton, Birmingham.
The family had lived at the £130,000 semi-detached house for more than 30 years.
But last month Mrs Crew, 71, successfully applied for an eviction order to kick out her three relatives and ban them from returning to the home.
The widowed grandma, who lost a leg in a motorbike accident 50 years ago, told the Sunday Mercury: ‘‘It was horrible living in that house, they used to call me ‘mental’ every morning.
“I spoke to a solicitor and told her what had been happening and said that I wanted my house back. When I asked if she thought I had a good case, she said ‘yes’.”
Mrs Crew moved into the property in 1973 with husband Anthony, with whom she had three daughters, Elaine, Sharron and Helen.
Anthony died in 1984 and Sharron and Helen moved out in the early 1990s to start their own families.
But Elaine stayed with her mother in her childhood home where she went on to bring up her own kids, Andrew and Rachel.
