The American expert will be talking to youngsters from across the city as part of Internet Safety Day.

The visit has been organised by Digital Birmingham, part of a Birmingham City Council initiative to give Brummies more access to digital technologies.

Mr Gibson spent 20 years with the FBI, including five years as a Diplomat to the US Embassy in London when he was in charge of all FBI cyber investigations in the UK.

One case he worked on was that of British hacker Gary McKinnon, who faces a US indictment after breaking into US military and NASA systems in 2001 and 2002.
