Paedophiles could target kids using Microsoft's Xbox 360

PAEDOPHILES could be using on-line Xbox 360 games to groom their future victims, the head of cyber security at Microsoft has revealed.

Former FBI agent and Oxford graduate Ed Gibson outlined his fears ahead of a planned visit to Birmingham schools next week.

The chief cyber security advisor for Microsoft will be talking to city pupils about the dangers of the internet on February 10.

And the best-selling Xbox 360, where people can chat anonymously as they play games against each other, has become a new cause for concern.

Mr Gibson, 56, said: “One area I am looking at currently is when people play on-line games like the Xbox 360 with strangers from around the world.

“The truth is you never know who you are playing against, what information they are trying to get out of you and what their real intentions are. Are they interested in little boys
