'Spinning and hovering' UFO seen in Staffordshire

Recently released Ministry of Defence files have underlined the fact our area is a UFO hotspot.

And as researchers trawl through the declassified files, we investigate Cannock’s largest and most mysterious sighting... Over the course of two nights, in 1993, the MoD received a startling number of UFO sightings across the country. Incredibly, two RAF bases in Staffordshire also reported incidents - one being RAF Cosford.

This staggering event has become known as The Cosford Incident - and remains unexplained to this day.

Almost 30 stories of extra-terrestrial activities flooded in to the MoD on the nights of March 30 and 31, 1993, and a number of them centred around Rugeley. Four or five witnesses reported seeing a massive ovalshaped object flying through the sky just after 1am - and insisted it was not identifiable.
