We are not all like that Mr Tyndale!

I READ George Tyndale’s column about the so-called disability living allowance.

It’s hard to believe they get the same amount as the genuine disabled.

My son is severely disabled and blind but the powers-that-be made him a non-dependant at the age of 18.

Another sore point: Mr Tyndale complains about families who have never worked.

My husband has had the indignity of being classed as unemployed.

Why? He helps to care for our son because neither of us could bear him going into state care.

So you see we are not all spongers, although probably looked at as such – a stigma we have to live with.
