A MAN drove a Land Rover Discovery at speeds of more than 100mph on the M6 following a test drive.

Asri Hussain stole the vehicle from Polesworth after posing as a prospective purchaser.

Police then spotted Hussain, aged 20, of Silver Birch Close, Saltley, who had not passed his driving test, driving it up the M6.

He admitted a number of driving offences at Nuneaton Magistrates.

The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
