A STAFFORDSHIRE policewoman has been commended for snaring a gunman who shot a teenager.

PC Julie-Ann Walker was praised by Trent Valley Police after her work led to a man being prosecuted for the shooting in August 2008.

PC Walker collected forensic evidence after the boy was shot in the back, which led to Christopher Stephens of Neville Street, Tamworth, being sentenced to 30 months in prison.
