Wolves: Jody Craddock ready to bring the curtain down with a bang

Jody Craddock

JODY Craddock runs out at Molineux today admitting he could be bringing the curtain down on his Wolves career and praying to avoid a fourth relegation as a professional.

And the 35-year-old is convinced he has done enough to warrant an extra season – which would be his ninth in gold and black colours after arriving in July 2003.

Craddock went down with Dave Jones’ Wolves in 2004 as well as with Sunderland in 2003 and with Cambridge relegated from League One in 1995.

And is determined to help Wolves get the result they need against Blackburn to safeguard their top flight status.

“Will it be my last? It could be. Fingers crossed it isn’t,” he said.

“I’m not worried, not concerned. I’ve proved enough this season I’m more than capable of playing another season.

“What will be will be. I will play this game the way I play every single game. Give it 100 per cent and sticking my head where it hurts.

“I usually take everything in my stride and just enjoy it.

“Hopefully we’ll be doing a lap of honour with the kids at the end of the game.

“We don’t want to be relegated and have to do it.

“It would be hard to do that if we are relegated. It’s the last thing you would want to do. We want to be celebrating.

“And I want to be confident that I’ve done enough to get a contract.
