Chris Iwelumo warns Wolves it will be tough to get a result at Stoke

CHRIS Iwelumo will continue to turn to Mick McCarthy whenever he needs the Yorkshireman’s often brutal honesty to shape his career.

McCarthy was the man to tell the Scot he couldn’t promise him a Premier League future, which ushered a move to a 13th club.

But such was the bond the pair forged during two seasons at Molineux that Iwelumo is still calling his former boss for advice.

“I think everyone knows how I feel about Wolves. I loved my time there,” the larger-than-life Burnley striker told the Sunday Mercury.

“It is a fantastic club – the fans, the support, the players.

“I loved the fans as much as they loved me.
