Karl Henry insists Wolves are “no bullies”

KARL Henry insisted Wolves are “no bullies” after they picked up another six yellow cards in yesterday’s defeat at Fulham.

Henry also defended the tackle which broke Bobby Zamora’s leg above the ankle and which will sideline him for at least four months.

“I know Bobby, we have the same agent and I was away with him at the England under 21s.

“I’d never go out to hurt anybody, let alone him. I’m sorry if I’ve done any damage to him, that’s the last thing I want to do.

“I tried to win the ball and immediately I could see he was in agony.

“I don’t know how bad it is but it was certainly nothing to do with me trying to ‘do’ him.

“I felt it was a good tackle.”

Henry was less than amused by the performance of referee Phil Dowd.

“I know that what happened last week was well publicised against Newcastle. I felt a lot of our bookings today were unjust. We were away from home and the crowd were getting on the referees back, he was giving them decisions and it was touch.

“We’ve got to learn from that and maybe learn we can’t put our foot in so much away from home.”
