Jody Craddock
WOLVES veteran Jody Craddock isn’t preparing for a summer in South Africa – even though an internet campaign to get him in the England squad continues to gather strength.
The old gold and black online army have been attempting to attract the attention of Three Lions boss Fabio Capello in recent months.
Their tongue-in-cheek message is simple: Jody Craddock for England.
Several Facebook groups all in support of Craddock’s unlikely case for international honours have sprung up and attracted nearly 2,000 members.
And there are also regular calls for Capello to cast his eye over Mick McCarthy’s evergreen centre-back doing the rounds on popular social networking site Twitter, an online tool that Craddock himself uses.
The sight of Capello at Molineux for the match-up with Everton two weeks ago only added fuel to the fire.
But of course, the 34-year-old isn’t taking the humorous attention seriously.
