BILLY Jones is keeping his eyes peeled to avoid becoming another victim of Albion’s well-known pranksters.
The Baggies dressing room is home to several practical jokers although new-boy Jones has yet to see any evidence to back it up.
Scott Carson, one of the key contributors, may have left The Hawthorns but there are still players with previous among the ranks including chief orchestraters James Morrison and Joe Mattock.
Among other wind-ups the pair once left a snowman in Carson’s car, and tagged their signatures on Giles Barnes’ UGG boots when the ex-midfielder first arrived at the club.
Jones has been on board for over a month now and has not been targeted by his new teammates, although he knows it may only be a matter of time before he becomes the centre of attention.
“I’ve heard about some of the previous pranks but nothing has happened to me so far so I’m hoping you haven’t cursed me by bringing that up,” he said.
“Obviously there’s characters at every club and you can tell there’s some characters here.
“I’ll certainly be keeping my eye out for them.
“It’s a good sign when things like that happen though because you know the team spirit is good.
“They’ve all been very welcoming to me so far and it’s good to have such a great bunch of lads here.
