Scott Carson has warned West Brom to be on their guard against an on-song Andy Carroll during Saturday's clash with Liverpool after the striker this week netted his first England goal.
The Baggies goalkeeper was on the England substitutes' bench at Wembley on Tuesday night when Carroll found the net with a low drive in the 1-1 draw with Ghana.
Now the Baggies will have to contain Kenny Dalglish's £35million capture at the Hawthorns.
Carson said: "Andy Carroll scored a great goal for England on Tuesday night, so he'll be full of confidence and it's going to be a difficult game, no question about it.
"Maybe the goal for Andy came at the wrong time from our point of view did but everyone knows he's a handful and everyone knows his strengths.
