West Brom's Jerome Thomas turns social secretary for festive bash

SOCIAL secretary Jerome Thomas was put in charge of cheering up Albion’s beaten stars after the recent derby defeat to Villa.

The connected wing wizard linked up with his London-based pals to throw Albion a bumper Christmas bash in the capital hours after the loss.

It was the Baggies’ annual festive party and the former Arsenal youngster returned to his roots to arrange an entertaining night for his team-mates.

Thomas admitted that some of the players needed a lift after the unlucky defeat.

And even though the team opted out of a fancy-dress function, his useful contacts helped arrange the perfect celebration with plenty of time before their next fixture.

The silky-skilled 27-year-old is a familiar face on the clubbing scene and knows the city’s hot-spots from his younger days.

He is even featured on a song by Kano – one of the leading grime artists in the UK.

Thomas admits that he was more than happy to organise the night out in the area that he knows like the back of his hand.

“I used to live in the same apartment block as Jon Fortune when we were at Charlton and Kano is his cousin,” he said.

“He used to come round a lot. I guess I was inspirational when he was thinking about one of his songs.

“As for our team’s Christmas night, it was a prime example of the spirit here which is unbelievable.
