Ex-West Brom ace Geoff Horsfield says the Baggies' trip to La Manga will help his former club's push for the Premier League

PROMOTION specialist Geoff Horsfield believes Albion’s five-day jaunt to La Manga will be ideal for their hopes of success.

The Baggies returned back from a five-day training camp in Spain on Friday.

Horsfield, who turned 36 earlier this month, was part of a similar ‘bonding’ trip to USA during Albion’s Great Escape season of 2004/05.

The Baggies were criticised by many at the time, not least as Bryan Robson’s men were struggling for form and seemingly destined for the drop.

But they returned from Disneyland and went onto produce their best football of the campaign to secure survival on the last day of the season.
