WEST Brom hero Bob Taylor has announced he is ready to return to the game and said he would love to do so with the Baggies.
Taylor has been busy gaining his coaching qualifications since hanging up his boots after a glittering 20-year career which finished two years ago at Kidderminster Harriers.
But after making 300 appearances in two spells at The Hawthorns, and scoring over 100 goals, 42-year-old Taylor has revealed he would love to serve the club he loves one more time.
“I really want to give something back to Albion for everything the club and supporters have given me over the years,” Taylor said.
“I would love to do some coaching, whether that is in the community or at the academy, but only if I become a good coach and I don’t know that yet.
“I feel I have a lot of experience from my time in the game that I can pass on.
“I am about to have my final assessment for my level three coaching badge and I guess we will find out after that if I have what it takes to become a good coach.
“I want to get back into the game and it is difficult if you have been out for a long time. It isn’t what you know it is who you know, and you have to be in the right place at the right time.
“Getting my qualifications is just a step onto the first rung of the ladder.
“I have been doing bits and bobs helping out Chris Marsh, Richard Sneekes and Daryl Burgess with their coaching schools and I enjoyed it. It was good experience.
“I what like to get involved with coaching lads that are a little older, possibly 16-17 years-old.”
