Richard Sneekes: West Brom's Dutch pair need time

“It is difficult when you are living on your own for the first time. People don’t look at that and they want immediate success.

“Under the circumstances I think they have both done okay. Every mistake is highlighted but they both have the potential to become good players.

“They have both played for Dutch national teams but you can’t expect to come to England and walk into any side and do the same things you did back home. You have to adjust.

“When I came here I had to learn very quickly. I had to get used to the English style of play and I had to adjust. It is a big learning curve.”

Sneekes is still a regular down the The Hawthorns and believes the Baggies must rediscover a steely edge to their game if they are to survive.

“You need the right mix and you have to battle as well as play,” he said.

“There aren’t any real battlers who are prepared to stick their foot in at the moment.”
