WEST Bromwich Albion skipper Jonathan Greening believes the club need ‘two or three’ quality players to kick-start their flagging Premier League campaign.
The Baggies are bottom of the table after losing their sixth game from the last seven.
Manager Tony Mowbray is looking to bring in at least two players – a defensive midfielder and one, maybe two, strikers – during the transfer window in six weeks time.
It’s looking increasingly likely Mowbray may have to settle for loan signings or generate funds through the sale of current players, but Greening is hoping chairman Jeremy Peace will back the manager when the window opens.
“It’s important,” he said. “We might need a little bit more experience up front and maybe at the back again.
