Albion's Beattie Joins Crystal Palace for month's loan

WEST bromwich Albion's Craig Beattie has joined Championship outfit Crystal Palace on loan until Tuesday, October 28.

The Baggies striker will be eligible for the Eagles' live TV encounter at Ipswich on Saturday.

His spell at Selhurst Park also includes two games against Nottingham Forest, and clashes with Charlton, Barnsley, Blues and Blackpool.

But Albion have the right to recall Beattie after 28 days.

The Scotland hitman also made one start and one substitute appearance in a two-month loan spell at Preston, that was hit by injury, at the end of last season.

He scored twice in last week's 3-0 reserves win for the Baggies over Fulham but has been restricted to just two Barclays Premier League substitute appearances this term and has slipped down the Hawthorns pecking order behind Roman Bednar, Ishmael Miller and Luke Moore.
