BRIGHT spark Jordi Pasqualin has revealed he turned down the chance to go to Cambridge University in order to learn his trade in professional rugby.
The Moseley scrum half was considering reading Architecture at one of the most famous educational institutions in the world until it became clear he would be offered a modest contract with the Gloucester academy.
At that point he chose to follow his dreams of becoming a full time sportsman – a decision that has proved beneficial to the Billesley Common outfit who have fielded the 18-year-old in ten of the last 11 games.
Pasqualin has even ousted stalwart Gareth Taylor in recent weeks and is hopeful of a call-up to the England Under-20 squad for next year’s Six Nations.
But just to cover himself the brainy half-back has cleverly enrolled in a part-time Sports Business Management degree at Hartpury College, after getting three As in his A-levels in the summer.
