Leicester City goalkeeper David Martin from Liverpool

LEICESTER have strengthened their goalkeeping options with the loan signing of David Martin from Liverpool.

The 22-year-old, who this summer signed a new contract to keep him at Anfield until June 2010, has agreed a six-month deal and becomes the second player from the Reds to join Leicester following Jack Hobbs' arrival last month.

"At my age, gaining first-team experience is of paramount importance and that is why I have come to Leicester," said Martin.
