CHRIS Burke will always score goals, Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton insisted.
Perhaps since the days of Barry Bridges and before him Alex Govan, Blues have not had an out-and-out winger who is capable of finding the back of the net with quite such regularity.
“In particular the first goal was a very good one,” said Hughton of the Burke pair.
“Jean Beausejour did excellent on the left and Chris has got to have the foresight to get into that position, and to tap in from the six-yard box shows a great desire to get into the box from him.
“We’re grateful for him, but he’s somebody who has always been able to score goals.
“He had a good record at Cardiff the last couple of seasons and he’s carried that on.”
