Birmingham City FC: Cameron Jerome for England?

CAMERON Jerome has had four seasons at Blues, but never any back-to-back in the same division.

Two promotions and two relegations have seen to that.

Now, in no small part thanks to his 11 goals in the previous campaign, Blues have the opportunity to establish themselves all over again in the top-flight (they did so between 2002-06).

And Jerome, 24 a week today, can blossom into more of an all-round, all-purpose centre-forward, if he continues his upward curve.

“I hope Cameron can go on,” remarked former Blues favourite Steve Claridge.

“He’s certainly a player that can play the system at Birmingham. I still think that he’s learning the game as he’s still very raw when the ball is played in to him.
