EX-BLUES striker Paul Devlin believes that resurgent Reading have to be considered favourites for today’s make-or-break match-up at the Madejski.
However the former goal-getter insists that anything is possible from this afternoon’s thrilling race for the Premier League.
Devlin, a member of Blues’ promotion-winning squad of 2002, believes that, by losing to Preston last weekend, Alex McLeish’s men have given themselves a worse-case scenario
And having watched Reading storm back into contention having seemingly been destined for the play-offs, Devlin admits that the momentum is with the Royals.
“Birmingham have made it very difficult for themselves and with Reading beating Norwich on Monday it has given them a massive glimmer of hope,” said Brummie Devlin, who now plays for Continental Star in an over-35s Sunday league.
“Then there’s the added twist of Sheffield United going down to Palace.
