FRANCK Queudrue has warned Blues that they can forget about the Championship title if they don’t beat Wolves tomorrow night.
Mick McCarthy’s men head to St Andrew’s tomorrow night five points ahead of second-placed Blues at the top of the table and seemingly with one hand on the silverware.
While promotion is still the number one aim for Blues, boss Alex McLeish has previously reiterated his desire to go on and finish at the top of the pile.
However, Blues left-back Queudrue, above, believes that his side won’t have a chance of doing that if they don’t pick up three points from their West Midlands neighbours.
“If we lost to Wolves then they would need eight points from five games and Wolves have done well this season so I would find it hard that they would lose all of their remaining games,” said Queudrue.
“Obviously if we lose it will be a big blow for automatic promotion but for the Championship title that would be out of reach.”
Wolves may have one over Blues at the moment, having knocked them out of the FA Cup at St Andrew’s following the 1-1 draw in the Championship at Molineux, but Queudrue sees tomorrow night as the all-important encounter.
And the Frenchman insists that him and his team-mates will thrive under the pressure that will be cooked up come 7.45pm tomorrow.
