JAMES McFadden is sure he can start finding the back of the net regularly, in turn helping Blues come out of their mini-slump.
McFadden scored in successive games, from open play, for the first time in his Blues’ career with an opportunist effort on Saturday against Charlton Athletic.
“Ahh, it was all right,” he said of his goal. “I’m at the edge of the box not to stop them breaking, but to try to pick the ball up and score. That’s what happened.
“It was one of those ones, you get them every now and again.
“I was pleased with the goal but pleased more so with the second-half performance.”
Manager Alex McLeish waxed lyrical about the strike afterwards: “The manager’s got to talk the players up, hasn’t he?,” smiled McFadden.
“I won’t be getting carried away. Personally, I’ve got two goals in two games. Hopefully I can continue it and go on a bit of a run and we can win a few games as well.”
