BORED of Bobo Balde?
Well given the comical circus that has surrounded the defender’s ‘will he? won’t he?’ exit from Celtic, Bobo the Clown would be more appropriate.
The Guinea international’s name first sprung up on the Midlands football scene ahead of the January transfer window when he was tipped to become Alex McLeish’s first signing at Blues.
Since then Wolves, Albion and Villa (only because Martin O’Neill signed him to Celtic) have been floated about as potential destinations for the stopper.
Balde has performed more U-turns than an armed bandit’s getaway car and judging by his supposed wage demands he seems dead set on getting away with daylight robbery at his next club.
He’s proving to be as indecisive as a WAG choosing which stilettos to wear on a night out as he bizarrely continues to dig his high heels in at Celtic, a place where he’s clearly not wanted.
Forget about Balde becoming a Bluenose, a squeaky red nose and green wig would be more appropriate.
The truth is that Balde would be an excellent acquisition in the Championship but whether we will see him don a Blues shirt, or any shirt at that, in English football’s second tier depends on when the centre-back stops clowning around.
