THOUSANDS of Villa fans packed into the home of English football for their second taste of the Wembley magic in less than two months.
Railway and motorway networks from Birmingham to London were turned into a sea of claret and blue as fans sported their famous colours for their big day out.
And the concensus was unanimous – no matter what the result, two trips to Wembley signified a successful season for the Villans.
Gordon Sewell, who travelled to the game with his partner Christine, son Sean, and family friend Lauren Marks, said the day was a fabulous occasion.
He said: “It’s been a brliiliant season for us as fans.
“Martin O’Neill has done a great job here and we hope he stays to do the same again in the future.
“I don’t think there’s many better managers in the world right now.”
