RICHARD Dunne has praised Martin O’Neill’s ‘simple’ approach to management, while the defender admits that he feels appreciated at Villa.
Having been idolised at his last club Manchester City, proved by him winning four consecutive player-of-the-year awards, Dunne felt compelled to leave following the superstar ethic that arrived at Eastlands with Arab cash.
So Dunne was looking for a little love when he arrived at Villa last summer, and that’s exactly what he appears to have found down at Bodymoor Heath.

“Martin O’Neill has been really good. I think he’s quite simple in the way he does things and keeps everything more or less straight. The players know the job we do,” said Dunne.
“We do training that is appropriate to the way we play and come games we’re always fresh, we’re always ready, we’ve got a good record with injuries throughout the squad so you can see that he manages players very well.
