Best birthday present

Here's a cup final story many footballers can only dream about. But for young Graham Arnold it came true.

He was playing for Birmingham Works F.A. side Chamberlain & Hookam in the Afrikander Cup final against Edwin Danks (Oldbury) at Tangyes Sports Ground, West Bromwich, on Saturday, April 23, 1960.

The scores were level at 3-3 as the match entered the last minute of extra time when left winger Graham scored the winning goal for Chamberlain & Hookam - and on his 17th birthday, too!
