SOAPLAND is full of nasty medical diagnoses this week. While Tanya is given her cancer news, the bombshell is dropped on Corrie’s Chris that he’s got a brain tumour that’s likely to kill him soon.

He’s been behaving oddly for a while but the last straw is dropping a pole which smashes Jason in the face. But when he sees a consultant, the only person he wants by his side is Cheryl. Even Lloyd drives Chris to his first radiotherapy session, but he’s not sympathetic enough to agree to Cheryl’s next suggestion – that Chris moves in with them.

There’s a slight thaw in the relationship between Leanne and Stella when she gives Tina a birthday card to pass on to her mother, but Eva puts a spanner in the works by tearing it up.

Audrey foolishly leaves Kylie and David in charge of the salon, but Julie is even more stupid to part with money for a reflexology session.
